Atlantic Station's Newest Addition
In May, Atlantic Station will be home to one of the biggest classical monument erected in the U.S. since 1943. The 82 foot monument named The Millennium Gate, will feature a 12,000 square-foot museum and will be opening May 30, 2008. The museum will feature an inside look at Georgia's history starting with the American Indians.
Rodney Mims Cook, Jr., the creator of The Millennium Gate, designed it to resemble arches like the Arch of Titus in Rome and the St. Denis Arch in Paris. The current monument sits where an Atlanta steel mill once was.
