The Garden Club Of Savannah's Annual Walking Tour
If you are planning an upcoming trip to the beautiful Savannah, Georgia area be sure to include the North of Gaston Street Tour. This tour features eight walled gardens and the award winning Massie School Garden, one of the Garden Club's community projects.
All of the gardens of the tour are selected based upon their design, historical interest, and beauty. Each hostess will greet tour guests and point out specific flowers native to the area and any interesting historical facts.
The walking tour will be held April 18-19, 2008 from 10am- 5pm. Also join General James Oglethorpe for a Southern Tea with iced tea, cookies and sandwiches at the garden of the Harper Fowlkes House daily from 2-4 pm. Tickets can be purchased online or at specific locations in Savannah. Ticket costs are $30 per person or $25 per person for a group of 20 or more.
