Bethlehem

The city of Bethlehem is located in Barrow County and is northeast of the city of Atlanta.  While the city may be well known for its name, it may not be as well known that the street names within the town are all names taken from the story of the birth of Christ.

With it’s unique name the city attracts visitors during the Christmas holiday seasons.  With live nativity scenes, choirs, and community activities the city has been dubbed, “the little town under the star”.   Each year hundreds of people bring their Christmas cards to the Bethlehem post office to have the Bethlehem cancellation show on their envelope.

The city is small, about 700 residents, but they have developed a community pavilion and community park.  They also have a library, city hall, and community center than can accommodate about 150 people for events.

Bethlehem has easy access to Highway 316.
