Braselton is a city that spans across four counties: Gwinnett, Hall, Jackson, and Barrow. It is located about 40 miles northeast of the city of Atlanta. The city was famously bought in 1989 by the actress Kim Basinger for about $20 million dollars. She had planned on making it a tourist destination, but only 5 years later she and her partners had to sell the property at a loss.
The city is home to the Chateau Élan Winery and Resort. This resort features a spa, full working winery, award winning golf courses, multiple restaurants, and hotel accommodations. It attracts about half a million visitors per year. The Chateau Élan community also features gated residential homes along the golf courses.
Braselton is also home to multiple large distribution centers for companies like Havertys Furniture, SafeLite, PetCo, Whole Foods, and Home Depot. The easy access to I-85 make this city attractive for large businesses and residents alike. Mayfield Dairy has their production and distribution center based in Braselton. Visitors to Mayfield Dairy can tour the facility and even have a scoop or two of their world famous ice cream.
This city also boasts a close and active community with multiple community events like festivals, parades, and farmers markets. Schools, affordable prices, convenient location close to I-85 all make Braselton an attractive community to call home.
